Dr. Jennifer Cho Promoted to Senior Lecturer

July 2024 – Dr. Janelle Wong, AAST Director, announced to faculty and staff that Dr. Jennifer Cho has been promoted to Senior Lecturer! Dr. Cho joined the program as AAST’s second teaching faculty in Fall 2022. Dr. Cho introduced exciting new topics, such as Asian American Women and Gender (AAST498G) and Asian American Foodways (AAST298G). Her course load also includes Introduction to Asian American Studies (AAST200), Asian American Literature (AAST233), Asian Americans and Media (AAST351), and Asian Americans in Film (AAST355).

As part of AAST498G and AAST298G, Dr. Cho curates collaborative student projects for final projects. You can view the students’ class zines and cookbook here.
